Before​‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‍​ heading out into the field, Hyewoo received basic training for a week. Since his deployment had been decided on short notice, there were only a few things they could teach him, and Garam, who had been appointed Hyewoo’s mentor, grumbled about it.

“Normally, field personnel take turns accompanying the team all the way inside the gate. You were in the basic class until recently, Hyewoo, so it would be best if you stayed with the standby team for the time being. We don’t know what might happen in there.”
